Frequently asked questions

Short answers. If the freight is unusual, email us — do not assume a yes.

What lanes do you run?+

Atlanta metro and the Southeast, plus connecting long-haul when the charge plan holds. See regional and long-haul.

Is the Tesla Semi full-load capable?+

Yes, on supported configurations. Long Range is rated about 500 miles at 82,000 lbs GCW. Details on Tesla Trucks.

How does charging work on a long haul?+

Megawatt charging can recover a large share of range in about thirty minutes. We plan the stall against HOS and appointments. If we cannot charge the run, we do not take the load.

Can you haul reefer / freezer?+

Yes, on a temperature-capable trailer. ePTO up to 25 kW can run the unit. Range drops with reefer load — we quote that honestly. Temperature-controlled.

Do you have a diesel backup tractor?+

No. This is an electric fleet. We do not keep a diesel tractor as a silent backup, and we will not invent one on a quote.

How do I request a quote or tender a load?+

Request capacity for an RFQ. Post a load for board review. Ship with Us to join the list without a load today.

How do I get a certificate of insurance?+

Use the form on Authority & insurance or email info@roboshepherd.net. Coverage is confirmed on the COI, not on the website.

What are detention and charging detention?+

Detention is paid wait time after free hours at a shipper or consignee. Charging detention is the same idea when a planned charger is unavailable or a run is held for power. Driver pay for those items is written in the contractor or W2 terms — not invented on this page.

1099 vs W2 for drivers?+

Both exist in the company. The website application does not decide classification. That is a separate written agreement. Start at Looking for Drivers.

What are the minimum driver qualifications?+

Valid Class A CDL, age 18 or older to apply, and the usual DQ file — MVR, medical examiner’s certificate, Clearinghouse, and related screening. We do not hire off a web form alone.

Who owns the trailer / power-only options?+

We run company and partner trailers, and we take power-only or drop-and-hook when the yard and the freight fit. Say which you need on the quote.

Do you take household goods or hazmat?+

No, unless a later written agreement says otherwise. Do not post those commodities to the public board expecting coverage.

How do I track a shipment?+

Public city-to-city status by reference is on Track. Live GPS is not on that page yet.
